**********THANK YOU ALL************
Well.......... where do we start!!.. that was just an awesome couple of gigs, we felt the Apollo '76 set went down well..no complaints and going by the reactions by both packed venues we think it was a great culmination to some pretty hard work rehearsing it and setting everything up.
onto the list of people we needs to thank:
firstly every brave fool who came out thru the rain and hail on a thursday afternoon in Glasgow to Ivory Blacks and everyone who packed out the Nelson rock bar on friday afternoon..we salute you all!! there is no audience quite like a Quo audience...folk from all over the UK (even from the continent!!) We hope you all enjoyed the "real deal" in the evening.
Thanks to Kelvin and Cammy the sound man at Ivory Blacks for taking the chance opening so early for us and a crackin' (as usual) sound.
Extra special thanks to Helen and her amazing staff at The Nelson Rock Bar in Sheffield who made us all feel most welcome.. a fantastic rock boozer and just great great staff..you guys truly do ROCK!!
Thanks to Tommy McGrory of CMC for his support with rehearsals and for loaning us the awesome "Apollo" and "Mr Chips" signs
Thanks to Jackie Lynton for recording a version of his world famous Intro to the Apollo gigs just for us...and David "Cubby" Cubberley for setting that up
Thanks to a certain Mr John "Rhino" Edwards for taking the time to come to The Nelson and singing "Belavista Man" ...this made all our time, effort, expense and sweat worth it all (especially so for a certain pint sized guitarist!!)
Thanks to our great manager Ali for keeping us all in check, and all the hard work she does for us four
And finally: Thanks to STATUS QUO for recording the award winning Quo:LIVE! album in the Glasgow Apollo in 1976 giving us the inspiration and the canvas to work from.... we hope we done it justice!!
